[NEWS] Was Big Bang’s pay for “Haru” excessive?

There’s been a fresh round of controversy regarding the large amount of pay that the stars of “Haru” have been receiving. Many have come forward with criticisms against the Korean Tourism Organization for excessive appearance payments in the production of their web drama.

An Young Hwan of the Committee on Culture, Sports, Tourism, Broadcasting & Communications revealed inspection documents of the Korean Tourism Organization, stating that TVXQ’s Yunho and the members of Big Bang each received $89,047 for a 30-minute-long drama.

Kim Bum, Han Chae Young, Park Shihoo each received $35,618 as well.
An argued, “Considering the fact that it only costs $133,570 per episode to produce some of the nation’s highest ranking dramas, the amount that the Korean Tourism Organization spent is excessive.”
In a way I agree with this, the amount of money for the 5-10 minutes Big Bang appeared on the drama is a bit excessive, especially considering the recession that has recently hit Korea, but what’s done is done and idols are usually underpaid, so in a way they’re only getting what they deserve. If anything it’s the directors fault & you can’t take the money back now. Big Bang is A-list, they need to get paid as one.
