GD&TOP’s title track, “Knock Out”, was announced banned today by three major music broadcast companies KBS, MBC, and SBS.
Additionally, “Don’t Go Home” has also been added to the ban list by MBC.
YG Entertainment responded to the ban of “Knock Out” by stating, “We were already expecting for it to be banned and will not request a re-trial for it but we were surprised by MBC’s ban to “Don’t Go Home”.
They continued, “We don’t think there are any problems with “Don’t Go Home” and two other stations KBS and SBS didn’t ban it either. We weren’t expecting MBC to ban it but since we don’t think it should be banned, we will be asking for another review for it.”
They finished by saying, “TOP’s lyrics for his rap in “Don’t Go Home” might be the problem but they are only lyrics, nothin more. We will not make any modifications to the lyrics however for the trial.”
TOP’s rap is the following “A-Yo Turn It Up I hate this awkward atmosphere. Was the clock’s needle always this loud? I only hear the sound of saliva going down my throat. What should I say?
